Description
The Albania 500 Leke banknote is part of the banknote series issued in 1957. This particular note in the uncirculated condition is TAP authenticated. The obverse highlights farmers harvesting hay on a tractor. On the upper right is a portrait of military commander Gjergj Kastrioti Skanderberg who initiated a rebellion against the Ottoman Empire. The reverse features a woman carrying a wheat sheaf. On the right is the countrys Coat of Arms. This 163 x 89 mm paper note has a watermark which shows a B SH SH pattern.
